Cheese Crisps

I keep a batch of these in the fridge during the week because they’re fast to make and store well. I usually prepare them while doing weekend meal prep so I have an easy grab-and-go snack ready for busy workdays.

How to make cheese crisps?

The easiest method is to bake them in a nonstick muffin tin at 375°F (190°C) for about 5–8 minutes. Exact time depends on the cheese you use and how crisp you prefer the edges.

What type of cheese to use for cheese crisps?

Sharp cheddar and mozzarella both work very well—cheddar gives a rich, tangy crunch while mozzarella yields a chewier center with crispy edges. Many other hard or semi-hard cheeses will crisp nicely, so feel free to experiment with what you have on hand.

  • 12 slices Pizza Pepperoni

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place one slice of pepperoni in the bottom of each cup of a nonstick muffin tin.
  • Top each pepperoni with grated cheese, spreading it flat so no cheese sticks up the sides of the tin.
  • Bake for about 8 minutes, until the edges are dark brown and crispy while the center remains slightly soft.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool at least 5 minutes before removing from the tin and serving. Enjoy!
