Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. cube steak
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 envelope Au Jus gravy mix
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 3 ½ cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Directions

  1. Season the cube steaks with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside.
  2. Empty the Au Jus gravy mix and the dry onion soup mix into the crock pot.
  3. Pour 3 cups of beef broth into the crock pot and stir to combine with the dry mixes.
  4. Whisk the cornstarch with the remaining ½ cup of beef broth until smooth, then add it to the crock pot and stir well to incorporate. This helps thicken the gravy as it cooks.
