Equipment

  • Pitcher
  • Blender
  • Knives
  • Cutting board

Ingredients

  • 2
    cups
    fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1
    cup
    fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 4
    cups
    cold water
  • ¼
    cup
    granulated sugar, to taste
  • 1
    12 oz can evaporated milk
  • 1
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1
    cup
    milk of choice
  • 1
    teaspoon
    vanilla extract
  • Ice, for serving
  • Fresh strawberry slices, for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the halved strawberries, 2 cups of cold water, and the granulated sugar into a blender. Blend until smooth and completely pureed.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, your choice of milk, and vanilla extract until evenly combined.
  • Fill a large pitcher with ice and add the finely chopped strawberries. Pour in the blended strawberry mixture, then gently add the milk mixture on top for a layered look.
  • Stir the pitcher to combine the layers. Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness as desired.
  • Serve immediately over ice in tall glasses and garnish each glass with fresh strawberry slices. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Choose ripe, sweet strawberries for the brightest flavor.
  • Adjust the sugar to suit the sweetness of your strawberries and personal taste.
  • Chill the drink for 30 minutes before serving if you prefer it extra cold and refreshing.
  • Use whole milk for extra creaminess or almond milk for a dairy-free option.
