Hello from San Francisco! I’m attending my first food blogging conference with Foodbuzz and having an absolute blast.
Jessica and I met up in Oakland and headed to our hotel, which came with a fun view of the shopping district—perfect for people-watching between sessions.
I’ve reunited with so many blogging friends and met plenty of new faces. The conference has been a great chance to swap tips, sample local eats, and soak up inspiration.
I also got to see Joelen again, which made the day even better.
When a group of food bloggers explores the city together, this is what happens: we recruit a helpful passerby to take a group photo and unload every camera we brought. Line them up and smile!
While having lunch at the Ferry Building, Martha Stewart casually walked by. She was wearing leather pants and a grey jacket, accompanied by her entourage—definitely a surprise cameo.
And no, that’s not Paula Deen—it’s Ginger, Jessica’s mom, who reminded us of a familiar TV personality.
I also spent time with Jessica Simpson—well, another Jessica Simpson by name—who’s delightful and hilarious in person.
One of the highlights was meeting Joy the Baker. She’s modest about her talent, but she’s amazing—plus she has a book deal, which makes her even more inspiring.
It’s late, I’m full, and I’m exhausted, so I’m turning in for the night. I’ll share more highlights and a full recap of the Foodbuzz Festival when I’m back home. 🙂
