This Reuben Club Sandwich is a hot, grilled sandwich piled high with turkey, ham, crispy bacon, melted Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing on rye bread. It’s indulgent, messy in the best way, and quick to assemble.
You can also use pumpernickel or swirl rye for a slightly different flavor—both work beautifully.
Easy to make and wonderfully satisfying, this sandwich is great for lunch or a casual dinner.

How to make Reuben Bacon Sandwich
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Cut the bacon strips in half and place them on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. Bake 20–25 minutes or until crisp, then transfer to paper towels to drain.

Butter one side of each slice of bread.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and place two slices of bread buttered side down in the pan.

Spread about 1 tablespoon of Thousand Island dressing on each slice of bread in the skillet.

Top the dressing with drained sauerkraut, then add a slice of Swiss cheese to each piece of bread.

Layer turkey, ham and the cooked bacon evenly over the cheese.

Add another tablespoon of Thousand Island to the top of the fillings, then place another slice of Swiss cheese and finish with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.

Grill the sandwiches over medium heat until the bottom bread is golden and the cheese begins to melt, then carefully flip and brown the other side.

When both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove from the skillet, slice if desired, and serve warm. Enjoy!
