Creamy Fruit Dip Recipe for Parties and Snacks

Have you ever been to a gathering where the host served fruit with a sweet, creamy dip? That’s fruit dip — a thick, sweet, whipped-like spread that’s denser and sweeter than plain whipped cream. This two-ingredient recipe is my go-to because it’s simple, quick, and reliably popular at brunches, potlucks, showers, and holiday celebrations. With Valentine’s Day approaching, it’s an easy dessert idea you can make in minutes. It pairs especially well with strawberries, but is delicious with a variety of fresh fruit.

Fruit Dip

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 jars (7 oz each) marshmallow creme/fluff (or one 13 oz jar)

Directions

Combine the softened cream cheese and marshmallow creme in a bowl. Beat by hand or with a mixer until the mixture is smooth and fully combined, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed. Transfer to a serving dish and chill briefly if you prefer a firmer texture.

Serve with an assortment of fresh fruit such as strawberries, cherries, banana slices, pineapple chunks, apple slices, or grapes. The dip also works well with graham crackers, pretzels, or cookies for dipping.

Tips:

  • Allow the cream cheese to soften fully to avoid lumps. Leave it at room temperature for about 30 minutes before mixing.
  • For a fluffier texture, beat the cream cheese until smooth before adding the marshmallow creme.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
