Five little things I loved this week:
1. Oodles of Noodles
It was a demanding week for all of us. Between travel, school schedules, and major technology issues, our family needed something comforting and nourishing to get us through the end of the week. I made our favorite Filipino rice noodles, Pancit Bihon, which felt like the perfect, homey remedy. After several days of not being able to cook a proper meal, it was so satisfying to spend time at the wok, knowing a warm, familiar dinner would bring everyone together. The recipe appears in an older post I still return to often — the method I use today remains the same, even if the photos are a little dated.

2. Muffins for Moms
This morning my children were excited for the school’s Muffins for Moms breakfast. For me it was really about the extra time together — a quiet, sweet moment in an otherwise busy week. The kids enjoyed the treats, and the promise of muffins (and the occasional doughnut) made getting them out of bed effortless. Those small, simple mornings are the ones I treasure most.
3. Last Minute Presents
With everything going on, Mother’s Day preparations slipped down the priority list and my original plans didn’t come together. I turned to a gift service that makes last-minute giving easy and thoughtful: it lets you assemble a curated collection of items from stylish brands, and the recipient chooses what they want. The service handles wrapping and delivery, which saved me at the eleventh hour and still felt personal. If you need a quick, polished gift option, a curated service like this can be a real lifesaver. (And Mom, if you’re reading: I hope you like your collection!)
4. Astrid
I discovered a new favorite productivity app: Astrid. It’s a well-designed to-do app with a clean interface and intuitive interactions. I’ve been using it to keep track of errands, appointments, and small tasks, and the reminders help me stay on top of things. It feels a bit like having a personal coach for daily productivity — simple, reliable, and exactly what I needed during a hectic week.
5. Slick Treadmill Dance Moves
On a lighter note, I’ve been enjoying some fun treadmill choreography videos that turn a routine workout into a playful challenge. Trying a few of those moves at the gym made the treadmill less monotonous and added a laugh to my routine. Small moments of joy like that — a new playlist, a silly move, a shared smile — can make every workout feel fresher.
Have an awesome weekend, everyone!
