Meet your new favorite summer cocktail: the Guava Pear Mimosa. This bright, tropical twist on a classic mimosa combines fragrant guava, a hint of pear, a touch of honey for natural sweetness, and a fruity sparkling rosé for lively bubbles and flavor.
This post was sponsored by Yankee Candle; all opinions are my own.
This summer drink is sweet, fruity and effervescent — perfect for sunset sipping. I especially love it during golden hour, when the light turns everything warm and relaxed and makes even simple moments feel special.
The recipe was inspired by Yankee Candle®’s Tropical Breeze from The Signature Collection. Tropical Breeze blends guava and passionfruit with juicy pear, mint leaves and Tahitian vanilla for a warm, summery scent that immediately lifts the mood. Guava has long been a favorite of mine, so the fragrance sparked the idea to create a drink that captures those same tropical notes.
After a long, cold winter I’m excited to welcome warm evenings with a fruity mimosa in hand and the Tropical Breeze candle nearby to complete the atmosphere.
What you will need to make this Guava Pear Mimosa
Making a delicious mimosa at home is simple. Below are the ingredients and a few substitutions to help you customize the drink.
- Guava – 2 fresh or frozen guavas are ideal. Fresh guava appears seasonally at many grocery stores; frozen or bottled guava juice are fine substitutes if fresh fruit isn’t available.
- Pear – about 1/2 a pear, peeled and cored.
- Sparkling rosé, Prosecco or any sweet, fruity sparkling wine of your choice for topping the juice.
How to make the perfect mimosa
- Prepare the guava-pear juice first. In a blender combine 2 peeled guavas (fresh or frozen), 1/2 pear, 1 tablespoon honey (or regular sugar to taste) and about 2 cups filtered water. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds and any large bits. The resulting juice will be slightly textured from the fruit; that’s normal.
- To serve, fill a champagne flute halfway with the guava-pear juice and top with sparkling rosé. I use a 50/50 ratio, but adjust to taste.
Note: The juice can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to one day. After that it may darken and lose some freshness.
Substitutions and variations: swap the guava or pear for other tropical fruits, or replace sparkling rosé with sparkling water for a non-alcoholic version.
How to create the perfect mood setter at home
A few simple touches elevate any evening: fresh flowers, a candle, a favorite playlist, a good book and a bowl of fresh fruit. Arrange a small, relaxed vignette on your patio or living room table, pour a Guava Pear Mimosa, and let the easy ambiance do the rest.
It doesn’t take much to make your space feel like a little escape—choose a few things you love and put them together to lift your spirits.

Ingredients
- 2 guava fruit, peeled
- 1/2 pear
- 2 cups filtered water
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 bottle sparkling rosé wine*
Instructions
-
Add the guava (fresh or frozen), pear, honey and water to a blender and pulse until well combined.
-
Strain the puréed mixture through a fine sieve to remove seeds. This should yield about 2 to 2 1/2 cups of juice.
-
To serve, pour half guava-pear juice into a champagne flute and top with sparkling rosé. Adjust the ratio to taste.
Notes
The juice will retain a bit of texture due to the fruit fibers; adjust the water for a thinner or more concentrated consistency, or use store-bought guava juice if preferred.
Guava-pear juice keeps in the refrigerator for up to 1 day; color and flavor will begin to change after that.
