Whip up this scotch egg breakfast burger recipe for a protein-packed meal to power you through until lunch!

Two posts in one weekend? I must be on a food-fueled roll — and this time it’s all about beef. If you’re not a fan, no hard feelings. But if you love hearty, protein-forward breakfasts, keep reading.
A scotch egg is a classic British breakfast: a hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage, breaded and fried. I decided to put an American spin on that idea and turn it into a breakfast burger — a beef-wrapped egg served on a bun. It’s playful, satisfying and seriously protein-packed.
Eating 20–30 grams of high-quality protein at a meal — from lean beef, eggs or both — helps you feel satisfied, supports muscle maintenance and can help control appetite throughout the day. So yes, you can enjoy a burger for breakfast and call it nutritional strategy.
This riff on the scotch egg gives you a convenient sandwich that works for busy mornings or a leisurely weekend brunch. Pair it with fresh fruit and hash browns for a complete plate.
